Dayara Bugyal trek is the only winter trek with the biggest snow expanse in Uttarakhand. The trek starts from Raithal, a peaceful village near Uttarkashi. The trail consists of huge green grassland which turns into a white snow carpet in the winters. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Rishikesh to Raithal

  • Get on the Dayara Bugyal trek route from Rishikesh at 7 AM.
  • Get in a shared cab from Rishikesh Laxman Chowk.
  • Stop for breakfast and lunch(self-sponsored) on your way.
  • Reach Raithal by evening and check in to the guest house/hotel.
  • Meet your guide and co-trekkers.
  • Have dinner and retire for the night.


Day 2: Raithal to Gui

  • Wake up and witness the first morning view of your Dayara Bugyal trek.
  • Have your breakfast with a view.
  • Get briefed by your guide and start your trek.
  • The trail is a mix of gradual ascents and patches of deep forests.
  • Get the magnificent sight of Gangotri range on your way.
  • Reach the campsite in the afternoon and have lunch.
  • Get acclimatized in the evening and explore the surroundings.
  • Have dinner and retire for the night.


Day 3: Gui to Chilapada

  • Get up and enjoy your breakfast.
  • Start your trek towards your next campsite through forests and meadows.
  • Reach the campsite and have lunch.
  • Get greeted by lush green valleys and snow peaks.
  • Have dinner and retire early for the night.


Day 4: Chilapada to Dayara Top, back to Gui

  • Get up and have your breakfast to start your ultimate adventure.
  • This is the day on which you will climb the maximum Dayara Bugyal trek height of 12,000 ft.
  • Pass through pine forests and alpine meadows.
  • Reach the top and gaze at the views of peaks like Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Srikanth, Gangotri, Draupadi ka Danda, Jaonli, etc.
  • Get to know about all the peaks visible from your guide. 
  • After spending some time at the top, start your journey down to Gui campsite.
  • Have packed lunch on your way down.
  • Reach at the campsite by evening and relax.
  • Have dinner and retire for the night. 


Day 5: Gui to Raithal, return to Rishikesh

  • Get up in the morning and enjoy your breakfast.
  • Start your journey towards Raithal.
  • Reach Raithal and start your journey back to Rishikesh.
  • Reach Rishikesh by evening as your memorable Dayara Bugyal experience comes to an end.

How to reach?

By Air: Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun that is 20km away from the city. Visitors can take a direct flight to Dehradun from Mumbai or Delhi or connecting flights from anywhere in India. Local vehicles can be availed from outside the airport to reach Dehradun by road from that will take around 40-45 mins to reach the city depending upon the traffic.

By Train: Dehradun Junction Railway Station is well-connected to all the major cities. The Dehradun Railway Station is located 1-2 kilometers away from the city centre and should take you only ten minutes, depending on traffic. Visitors can easily find frequent trains from Delhi to Dehradun.

By Road: Dehradun is well connected by roads to all major cities and towns like Delhi, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. It's situated at a 6 hours drive from Delhi.

  1. Rent gear: You can reduce the hassle of buying gear like trek pants, jackets, shoes and rent them for the trek at an additional cost.

  2. RT-PCR negative certification: This is mandatory for goSTOPS treks. Without it, you will not be allowed to join us. You are exempted only if you’ve taken two doses of vaccine or were infected with COVID-19 in the last three months. 

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees

  • If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees

  • If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees

  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
