Violators would face harsh consequences!

Check-in / Check-out Policy:

All Stops Hostels follow check-in/check-out timings as below:

  • Check-in time: 1300 hrs
  • Check-out time: 1000hrs

– Check-in time at all Stops Hostels is from 1300 hrs. However, in case the guest arrives earlier, the guest can complete check-in formalities and then hangout in the common area till his/her bed is ready. The hostel staff will try their best to get a clean and fresh bed ready as early as possible. Please note that in such cases, full range of services and facilities at the Hostel may not be available until the standard check-in time. Guests who arrive early can have breakfast in the Hostel at a nominal charge or can ask for suggestions from the Hostel staff for great breakfast options at local eateries nearby. (However, if the arrival time is as early as0600 hrs, it is highly recommended to book a bed for the previous night and ensure a good night’s sleep).

 

– Check-out time at all Stops Hostels is up to 1000 hrs. Postponement of check-out time may be possible by prior arrangement with an additional charge and subject to availability. (In the absence of such prior arrangement, failure to check-out by 1000 hrs may result in the guest being charged for an additional night’s accommodation at the standard applicable rate). While waiting for their onward transport, guests are welcome to stow their luggage in the cloak room and hang out in the hostel common area (up to 2200 hrs) after check-out.

 

– All Stops Hostels follow a 100% advance payment policy at the time of check-in. All guests must make 100% advance payment for the stay booked at the time of check-in.

 

– At the time of check-in, fresh linen is handed over to all guests booked in a shared room. This includes a bed sheet to spread on the bed, a top sheet to line the duvet/blanket and a pillow cover. At the time of check-out, guests are required to hand over the linen back at the reception. This allows guests to be sure of the linen’s hygiene as they can feel the fresh smell of their clean bed sheets while making their own beds. Thereby, housekeeping in shared rooms remains non-intrusive for other fellow residents. In case of a private room, the linen is already spread by the housekeeping staff, and locked away to ensure freshness till the guest’s arrival.

 

– The reservations made at the hostel are non-transferable. Therefore, it is mandatory for the guest to show up in whose name the booking has been made.

– Local Residents i.e. people living in the city or any adjoining areas where a Stops Hostel is located are not allowed to stay at the Stops Hostel in the respective city. Although, guests are welcome to stay with the Stops Hostel at any of the several destinations, except for the city of the guests’ residence. The staff at all Stops Hostels will ascertain the city of the guests’ residence on basis of the address proof that the guests provide during the check-in.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Individual Bookings and Cancellations:

 

– The Stops Hostels cancellation policy is simple: a minimum of 72 hours’ notice period must be given by the guest before the check-in date to cancel the booking. The Stops Hostel check-in time starts at 1300 hrs. Therefore, if any guest were supposed to stay at the hostel on Friday, must cancel their stay before 1300 hours on Tuesday.

– If any guest cancels the booking later than the above mentioned time period, all Stops Hostels will charge the credit card of the guest for the number of nights violated from the day of notice period. For example, the guest made a booking  for 5 nights at any Stops Hostel, the following charges will apply:

– The guest sends a cancellation email to the Stops Hostels in between Tuesday(1300 hrs) and Wednesday (1300 hrs), the hostel authorities will charge the credit card of the guest against the booking value for the first 1 night (Friday); OR

– The guest sends a cancellation email in between Wednesday (1300 hrs) and Thursday (1300 hrs),the hostel authorities will charge the credit card of the guest against the booking value for the first 2 nights (Friday and Saturday); OR

– The guest sends a cancellation email in between Thursday (1300 hrs) and Friday (1300 hrs), the hostel authorities will charge the credit card of the against the booking value for the first 3 nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Group Bookings and Cancellation 

– Group of 5 guests or more must email at [email protected] for approvals before booking at any Stops Hostel. All Stops Hostels reserve the right to cancel the booking that is made online by a group of 5 or more guests without any notification and not approved by an email.

– In case of group bookings at any Stops Hostel, the guest must make a 100% payment in advance; transferred to bank account to confirm the group booking. Also, in case of group bookings (any booking of 5 or more people), the cancellation/modification policy is as follows:

 

  • If cancelled/modified 90 days (or more) before the arrival date, 20% of the amount cancelled/modified is charged.
  • If cancelled/modified within 60-90 days before arrival date, 40% of the amount cancelled/modified is charged.
  • If cancelled/modified within 30-60 days before arrival date, 60% of the amount cancelled/modified is charged.
  • If cancelled/modified within 15-30 days before arrival date, 80% of the amount cancelled/modified is charged.
  • If cancelled/modified within 0-15 days before arrival date, 100% of the amount cancelled/modified is charged.

 

How to cancel the group booking

 

– If the booking is made through a third party/Online Travel Agent (OTA) such as Hostelworld.com, Booking.com etc., then the guest is required to cancel the reservation through the particular platform.

– If the booking is made directly; through website or through a call at the Stops Hostel’s call centre, then the guest is required to send an email on [email protected] to cancel the booking.

 

The Guest’s Booking Deposit

– If any guest books a stay at any Stops Hostel with an online travel agent, such as hostelworld.com, the deposits that the guest paid at the time of booking is kept as a commission by the particular company. Stops Hostel does not take any deposits paid on external booking sites. The guest is required to contact the particular company to discuss and claim for the deposit.

– All Stops Hostels do not take off any deposit from the credit card of the guest, if the guest makes a direct booking with Stops Hostels. However, Stops Hostel simply records the credit card information to charge if the guest fails to cancel the stay without proper notice period.

 

 

No Show Policy

 

– If any guest does not turn up on the day of the booking, the booking will be automatically cancelled and Stops Hostel will charge for the full value of the booking from the credit card of the guest.

– If the guest does not turn up on the day of booking or arrives a day late from the day of booking, Stops Hostels unfortunately give no guarantee for the availability of a bed or a room to the guest. It is thereby assumed that the guest is not staying at the hostel. However, it is highly recommended for all the guests to recheck the check-in dates prior to the booking to get fit in to the availability of the rooms/beds.

Documents required at Check-in

– Every Indian guest at all Stops Hostels must carry and present during the time of check-in: a government authorized address, Date of Birth and photo identification proof in originals.  Acceptable forms of IDs include: Aadhaar Card, Driving License or Passport. PAN Card is NOT accepted as a valid ID proof.

– Every foreign guest at all Stops Hostels must carry and present during the time of check-in: a Passport and a valid Visa in originals.

– Every Pakistani guest at all Stops Hostels must carry and present during the time of check-in: an additional residence permit letter from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad along with the Passport and valid Visa in originals.

Minimum Age Policy 

– Guests of all age groups are welcome at all Stops Hostels. All Stops Hostels love to host families as well. However, there are some rules that every guest should follow:

– goStops does not accept bookings made by a guest under the age of 16.

– Any guests under the age of 18 are not allowed to stay in any shared rooms. However, a guest under the age of 18 is allowed to stay in private rooms (or ‘shared-room-private-convert’ i.e. a shared room, where all beds within the shared room booked by the guests of the same group only). The group of guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 to stay at any Stops Hostel.

– Any guest between the age of 16 to 18 is allowed to stay in a private room only after presenting a written consent from the guest’s parent or guardian.

– Failure to adhere to the above mentioned rules by all guests will result in automatic cancellation with no refund given.

Charges for accompanying children

– A guest (maximum allowed: 1 person) up to the age of 5 at all Stops Hostels can share the bed with their adult family members (either in a ‘private room’ or in a ‘shared-room-private-convert’ only). No extra charges will be levied on the guest up to age of 5.

– Normal/regular rates will apply for all guests above the age of 5 at all Stops Hostels. Thereby, the guest above the age of 5 must book a separate bed.

– All guests are required to read the ‘minimum age policy’ carefully.

Transit Stays

– Stops Hostels offers travellers the option to utilize a unique transit stay, called ‘Stops Quickie’ at all Stops Hostels. It allows the travellers to gain access to:-

– Common areas (Indoor AC Common Area, Outdoor Common Area and Communal Kitchen)

– Common Area Facilities (Board Games, Foosball, Books, Common TV, Common Computers with internet access)

– High Speed Wi-Fi

– Common toilet and shower facilities

– Free local telephone and curate menus to order in food from restaurant of your choice

– Community of other travellers to socialize and spend time constructively

– The above mentioned facility is available at a nominal charge at all Stops Hostels. All Stops Hostels allow the guests to check-in at any time between 0600 hrs to 1800 hrs and gain access to all facilities mentioned above. However, the check-out time for Transit stay guests is 2200 hrs.

Transit Stays

– Stops Hostels offers travellers the option to utilize a unique transit stay, called ‘Stops Quickie’ at all Stops Hostels. It allows the travellers to gain access to:-

goStops Hostels’ Liability

– goStops Hostels takes utmost care of the guests’ security and well-being. However, the safety of the guests’ belongings rests upon the guests themselves. In case of any theft of the guests’ belongings or harm to self, the hostel will not be held liable in any way.

– Thereby, all guests at the goStops Hostel must agree that the goStops is only liable for supplying the facilities, products and services to the guests for private use. Stops Hostel has no liability for any profit or loss of business opportunity of the guests.
